1
And
the
LORD
spake
unto
Moses,
saying,
2
Speak
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
that
they
turn
and
encamp
before
Pi-hahiroth,
between
Migdol
and
the
sea,
over
against
Baal-zephon:
before
it
shall
ye
encamp
by
the
sea.
3
For
Pharaoh
will
say
of
the
children
of
Israel,
They
are
entangled
in
the
land,
the
wilderness
hath
shut
them
in.
4
And
I
will
harden
Pharaoh’s
heart,
that
he
shall
follow
after
them;
and
I
will
be
honoured
upon
Pharaoh,
and
upon
all
his
host;
that
the
Egyptians
may
know
that
I
am
the
LORD.
And
they
did
so.
5
And
it
was
told
the
king
of
Egypt
that
the
people
fled:
and
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
and
of
his
servants
was
turned
against
the
people,
and
they
said,
Why
have
we
done
this,
that
we
have
let
Israel
go
from
serving
us?
6
And
he
made
ready
his
chariot,
and
took
his
people
with
him:
7
And
he
took
six
hundred
chosen
chariots,
and
all
the
chariots
of
Egypt,
and
captains
over
every
one
of
them.
8
And
the
LORD
hardened
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt,
and
he
pursued
after
the
children
of
Israel:
and
the
children
of
Israel
went
out
with
an
high
hand.
9
But
the
Egyptians
pursued
after
them,
all
the
horses
and
chariots
of
Pharaoh,
and
his
horsemen,
and
his
army,
and
overtook
them
encamping
by
the
sea,
beside
Pi-hahiroth,
before
Baal-zephon.
10
And
when
Pharaoh
drew
nigh,
the
children
of
Israel
lifted
up
their
eyes,
and,
behold,
the
Egyptians
marched
after
them;
and
they
were
sore
afraid:
and
the
children
of
Israel
cried
out
unto
the
LORD.
11
And
they
said
unto
Moses,
Because
there
were
no
graves
in
Egypt,
hast
thou
taken
us
away
to
die
in
the
wilderness?
wherefore
hast
thou
dealt
thus
with
us,
to
carry
us
forth
out
of
Egypt?
12
Is
not
this
the
word
that
we
did
tell
thee
in
Egypt,
saying,
Let
us
alone,
that
we
may
serve
the
Egyptians?
For
it
had
been
better
for
us
to
serve
the
Egyptians,
than
that
we
should
die
in
the
wilderness.
13
And
Moses
said
unto
the
people,
Fear
ye
not,
stand
still,
and
see
the
salvation
of
the
LORD,
which
he
will
shew
to
you
to
day:
for
the
Egyptians
whom
ye
have
seen
to
day,
ye
shall
see
them
again
no
more
for
ever.
14
The
LORD
shall
fight
for
you,
and
ye
shall
hold
your
peace.
15
And
the
LORD
said
unto
Moses,
Wherefore
criest
thou
unto
me?
speak
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
that
they
go
forward:
16
But
lift
thou
up
thy
rod,
and
stretch
out
thine
hand
over
the
sea,
and
divide
it:
and
the
children
of
Israel
shall
go
on
dry
ground
through
the
midst
of
the
sea.
17
And
I,
behold,
I
will
harden
the
hearts
of
the
Egyptians,
and
they
shall
follow
them:
and
I
will
get
me
honour
upon
Pharaoh,
and
upon
all
his
host,
upon
his
chariots,
and
upon
his
horsemen.
18
And
the
Egyptians
shall
know
that
I
am
the
LORD,
when
I
have
gotten
me
honour
upon
Pharaoh,
upon
his
chariots,
and
upon
his
horsemen.
19
And
the
angel
of
God,
which
went
before
the
camp
of
Israel,
removed
and
went
behind
them;
and
the
pillar
of
the
cloud
went
from
before
their
face,
and
stood
behind
them:
20
And
it
came
between
the
camp
of
the
Egyptians
and
the
camp
of
Israel;
and
it
was
a
cloud
and
darkness
to
them,
but
it
gave
light
by
night
to
these:
so
that
the
one
came
not
near
the
other
all
the
night.
21
And
Moses
stretched
out
his
hand
over
the
sea;
and
the
LORD
caused
the
sea
to
go
back
by
a
strong
east
wind
all
that
night,
and
made
the
sea
dry
land,
and
the
waters
were
divided.
22
And
the
children
of
Israel
went
into
the
midst
of
the
sea
upon
the
dry
ground:
and
the
waters
were
a
wall
unto
them
on
their
right
hand,
and
on
their
left.
23
And
the
Egyptians
pursued,
and
went
in
after
them
to
the
midst
of
the
sea,
even
all
Pharaoh’s
horses,
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen.
24
And
it
came
to
pass,
that
in
the
morning
watch
the
LORD
looked
unto
the
host
of
the
Egyptians
through
the
pillar
of
fire
and
of
the
cloud,
and
troubled
the
host
of
the
Egyptians,
25
And
took
off
their
chariot
wheels,
that
they
drave
them
heavily:
so
that
the
Egyptians
said,
Let
us
flee
from
the
face
of
Israel;
for
the
LORD
fighteth
for
them
against
the
Egyptians.
26
And
the
LORD
said
unto
Moses,
Stretch
out
thine
hand
over
the
sea,
that
the
waters
may
come
again
upon
the
Egyptians,
upon
their
chariots,
and
upon
their
horsemen.
27
And
Moses
stretched
forth
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
the
sea
returned
to
his
strength
when
the
morning
appeared;
and
the
Egyptians
fled
against
it;
and
the
LORD
overthrew
the
Egyptians
in
the
midst
of
the
sea.
28
And
the
waters
returned,
and
covered
the
chariots,
and
the
horsemen,
and
all
the
host
of
Pharaoh
that
came
into
the
sea
after
them;
there
remained
not
so
much
as
one
of
them.
29
But
the
children
of
Israel
walked
upon
dry
land
in
the
midst
of
the
sea;
and
the
waters
were
a
wall
unto
them
on
their
right
hand,
and
on
their
left.
30
Thus
the
LORD
saved
Israel
that
day
out
of
the
hand
of
the
Egyptians;
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
upon
the
sea
shore.
31
And
Israel
saw
that
great
work
which
the
LORD
did
upon
the
Egyptians:
and
the
people
feared
the
LORD,
and
believed
the
LORD,
and
his
servant
Moses.
Isaiah 37:6
6
And
Isaiah
said
unto
them,
Thus
shall
ye
say
unto
your
master,
Thus
saith
the
LORD,
Be
not
afraid
of
the
words
that
thou
hast
heard,
wherewith
the
servants
of
the
king
of
Assyria
have
blasphemed
me.

And
they
said
unto
Moses,
Because
there
were
no
graves
in
Egypt,
hast
thou
taken
us
away
to
die
in
the
wilderness?
wherefore
hast
thou
dealt
thus
with
us,
to
bring
us
forth
out
of
Egypt?
12
Is
not
this
the
word
that
we
spake
unto
thee
in
Egypt,
saying,
Let
us
alone,
that
we
may
serve
the
Egyptians?
For
it
were
better
for
us
to
serve
the
Egyptians,
than
that
we
should
die
in
the
wilderness.
13
And
Moses
said
unto
the
people,
Fear
ye
not,
stand
still,
and
see
the
salvation
of
Jehovah,
which
he
will
work
for
you
to-day:
for
the
Egyptians
whom
ye
have
seen
to-day,
ye
shall
see
them
again
no
more
for
ever.
14
Jehovah
will
fight
for
you,
and
ye
shall
hold
your
peace.
15
And
Jehovah
said
unto
Moses,
Wherefore
criest
thou
unto
me?
speak
unto
the
children
of
Israel,
that
they
go
forward.
16
And
lift
thou
up
thy
rod,
and
stretch
out
thy
hand
over
the
sea,
and
divide
it:
and
the
children
of
Israel
shall
go
into
the
midst
of
the
sea
on
dry
ground.
17
And
I,
behold,
I
will
harden
the
hearts
of
the
Egyptians,
and
they
shall
go
in
after
them:
and
I
will
get
me
honor
upon
Pharaoh,
and
upon
all
his
host,
upon
his
chariots,
and
upon
his
horsemen.
18
And
the
Egyptians
shall
know
that
I
am
Jehovah,
when
I
have
gotten
me
honor
upon
Pharaoh,
upon
his
chariots,
and
upon
his
horsemen.
19
And
the
angel
of
God,
who
went
before
the
camp
of
Israel,
removed
and
went
behind
them;
and
the
pillar
of
cloud
removed
from
before
them,
and
stood
behind
them:
20
and
it
came
between
the
camp
of
Egypt
and
the
camp
of
Israel;
and
there
was
the
cloud
and
the
darkness,
yet
gave
it
light
by
night:
and
the
one
came
not
near
the
other
all
the
night.
21
And
Moses
stretched
out
his
hand
over
the
sea;
and
Jehovah
caused
the
sea
to
go
back
by
a
strong
east
wind
all
the
night,
and
made
the
sea
dry
land,
and
the
waters
were
divided.
22
And
the
children
of
Israel
went
into
the
midst
of
the
sea
upon
the
dry
ground:
and
the
waters
were
a
wall
unto
them
on
their
right
hand,
and
on
their
left.
23
And
the
Egyptians
pursued,
and
went
in
after
them
into
the
midst
of
the
sea,
all
Pharaohs
horses,
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen.
24
And
it
came
to
pass
in
the
morning
watch,
that
Jehovah
looked
forth
upon
the
host
of
the
Egyptians
through
the
pillar
of
fire
and
of
cloud,
and
discomfited
the
host
of
the
Egyptians.
25
And
he
took
off
their
chariot
wheels,
and
they
drove
them
heavily;
so
that
the
Egyptians
said,
Let
us
flee
from
the
face
of
Israel;
for
Jehovah
fighteth
for
them
against
the
Egyptians.
26
And
Jehovah
said
unto
Moses,
Stretch
out
thy
hand
over
the
sea,
that
the
waters
may
come
again
upon
the
Egyptians,
upon
their
chariots,
and
upon
their
horsemen.
27
And
Moses
stretched
forth
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
the
sea
returned
to
its
strength
when
the
morning
appeared;
and
the
Egyptians
fled
against
it;
and
Jehovah
overthrew
the
Egyptians
in
the
midst
of
the
sea.
28
And
the
waters
returned,
and
covered
the
chariots,
and
the
horsemen,
even
all
the
host
of
Pharaoh
that
went
in
after
them
into
the
sea;
there
remained
not
so
much
as
one
of
them.
29
But
the
children
of
Israel
walked
upon
dry
land
in
the
midst
of
the
sea;
and
the
waters
were
a
wall
unto
them
on
their
right
hand,
and
on
their
left.
30
Thus
Jehovah
saved
Israel
that
day
out
of
the
hand
of
the
Egyptians;
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
upon
the
sea-shore.
31
And
Israel
saw
the
great
work
which
Jehovah
did
upon
the
Egyptians,
and
the
people
feared
Jehovah:
and
they
believed
in
Jehovah,
and
in
his
servant
Moses.

the
words
that
thou
hast

wherewith
the

of
the
king
of
Assyria
have
blasphemed
me.

may
come
again
upon
the
Egyptians,
upon
their
chariots,
and
upon
their
horsemen.
27
And
Moses
stretched
forth
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
the
sea
returned
to
its
strength
when
the
morning
appeared;
and
the
Egyptians
fled
against
it;
and
the
LORD
overthrew
the
Egyptians
in
the
midst
of
the
sea.
28
And
the
waters
returned,
and
covered
the
chariots,
and
the
horsemen,
even
all
the

of
Pharaoh
that
went
in
after
them
into
the

there
remained
not
so
much
as
one
of
them.

But
the

of
Israel

in

of
the
sea;
and
the
waters
were
a

them
on
their

hand,
and
on
their

30
Thus
the
LORD
saved
Israel
that
day
out
of
the
hand
of
the
Egyptians;
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
upon
the
sea
shore.

And
Israel
saw
the
great

which
the

And
I

I

And
it
was
told
the
king
of
Egypt
that
the
people
fled:
and
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
and
of
his
servants
was
turned
against
the
people,
and
they
said,
Why
have
we
done
this,
that
we
have
let
Israel

from
serving
us?
6
And
he
made
ready
his

six

chariots,
and
all
the

Egypt,
and
captains
over
every

And
the
LORD
hardened
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt,
and
he
pursued
after
the

Israel:
and
the

an

But
the

all
the

they

and
the

Israel
cried
out
to
the

11
And
they
said
to
Moses,
Because
there
were
no

Egypt,
have
you
taken
us
away
to
die
in
the
wilderness?
why
have
you
dealt
thus
with
us,
to
carry
us
forth
out
of
Egypt?
12
Is
not
this
the
word
that
we
did
tell
you
in
Egypt,
saying,
Let
us

that
we
may

But
lift
you

your

and
stretch
out
your

the
sea,
and
divide
it:
and
the
children
of
Israel
shall
go
on
dry
ground
through
the
middle

the

17
And
I,
behold,
I

it

it

to
these:
so
that
the

And
Moses

the

all
that

made
the

the

them
to
the

of
the

even
all
Pharaoh's
horses,
his

and
his

24
And
it

to
pass,
that
in
the
morning
watch
the
LORD
looked
to
the
host
of
the
Egyptians
through
the
pillar
of
fire
and
of
the
cloud,
and
troubled
the
host
of
the
Egyptians,
25
And
took
off
their
chariot
wheels,
that
they
drove
them
heavily:
so
that
the
Egyptians
said,
Let
us
flee
from
the
face
of
Israel;
for
the
LORD
fights
for
them
against
the
Egyptians.
26
And
the
LORD
said
to
Moses,
Stretch
out
your

over
the
sea,
that
the
waters
may
come

on
the
Egyptians,
on
their

And
Moses

and
the

and
the
LORD
overthrew
the

28
And
the
waters
returned,
and
covered
the

all
the

Thus
the

out

The

I

honor
because
of
Pharaoh

all
his

and
the

that
I

So
this
is
what
they
did.
5
When
it
was
reported
to
the
king
of
Egypt
that
the
people
had
fled,
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
and
his
servants
was
turned
against
the
people,
and
the
king
and
his

"What

the

Then
he

He
took
six
hundred
select

and
all
the

Egypt,
and
officers
on
all
of
them.

But
the
LORD
hardened
the
heart
of
Pharaoh
king
of
Egypt,
and
he
chased
after
the
Israelites.
Now
the
Israelites
were
going
out
defiantly.

The

all
the

there

marching
after

and
they
were
terrified.
The
Israelites
cried
out
to
the
LORD,
11
and
they
said
to
Moses,
"Is
it
because
there
are
no

in
the

What
in
the

have
you
done
to
us
by
bringing
us
out

Isn't
this
what
we

said
to

for
the
Egyptians
that

you
will
never,
ever
see
again.
14
The
LORD
will
fight
for
you,
and
you

The
LORD
said
to
Moses,
"Why

me?
Tell
the
Israelites
to

And
as
for
you,
lift
up
your
staff
and
extend
your
hand
toward
the
sea
and
divide
it,
so
that
the
Israelites
may
go
through
the
middle
of
the
sea
on
dry

And
as
for
me,
I
am
going
to

the

of
the
Egyptians
so
that
they
will
come
after
them,
that
I

The
angel
of
God,
who
was
going
before
the
camp
of
Israel,
moved
and
went
behind
them,
and
the

cloud
moved
from
before
them
and
stood
behind
them.
20
It
came
between
the
Egyptian
camp
and
the
Israelite
camp;
it
was
a
dark
cloud
and
it
lit
up
the
night
so
that
one
camp
did
not
come
near
the
other
the
whole
night.
21
Moses
stretched
out
his
hand
toward
the
sea,
and
the
LORD
drove
the
sea
apart
by
a
strong
east
wind
all
that
night,
and
he
made
the
sea
into
dry
land,
and
the
water
was
divided.
22
So
the
Israelites
went
through
the
middle
of
the
sea
on
dry
ground,
the
water
forming
a
wall
for
them
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
23
The
Egyptians
chased
them
and
followed
them
into
the
middle
of
the
sea—
all
the
horses
of
Pharaoh,
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen.
24
In
the
morning
watch
the
LORD
looked
down
on
the
Egyptian
army
through
the
pillar
of
fire
and
cloud,
and
he
threw
the
Egyptian
army
into
a
panic.
25
He
jammed
the
wheels
of
their
chariots
so
that
they
had
difficulty
driving,
and
the
Egyptians
said,
"Let's
flee
from
Israel,
for
the
LORD
fights
for
them
against
Egypt!"
26
The
LORD
said
to
Moses,
"Extend
your
hand
toward
the
sea,
so
that
the
waters
may
flow
back
on
the
Egyptians,
on
their
chariots,
and
on
their
horsemen!"
27
So
Moses
extended
his
hand
toward
the
sea,
and
the
sea
returned
to
its
normal
state
when
the
sun
began
to
rise.
Now
the
Egyptians
were
fleeing
before
it,
but
the
LORD
overthrew
the
Egyptians
in
the
middle
of
the
sea.
28
The
water
returned
and
covered
the
chariots
and
the
horsemen
and
all
the
army
of
Pharaoh
that
was
coming
after
the
Israelites
into
the
sea—
not
so
much
as
one
of
them
survived!
29
But
the
Israelites
walked
on
dry
ground
in
the
middle
of
the
sea,
the
water
forming
a
wall
for
them
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
30
So
the
LORD
saved
Israel
on
that
day
from
the
power
of
the
Egyptians,
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
on
the
shore
of
the
sea.
31
When
Israel
saw
the
great
power
that
the
LORD
had
exercised
over
the
Egyptians,
they
feared
the
LORD,
and
they
believed
in
the
LORD
and
in
his
servant
Moses.
Isaiah 37:6

Isaiah
said
to
them,

the
things
you

these
insults
the
king
of
Assyria's
servants
have
hurled
against
me.

Israelites
saw
Pharaoh
and
his
army
coming
toward
them,
they
were
very
frightened
and
cried
to
the
Lord
for
help.
11
They
said
to
Moses,
"Why
did
you
bring
us
out
of
Egypt?
Did
you
bring
us
out
here
in
the
desert
to
die?
We
could
have
died
peacefully
in
Egypt;
there
were
plenty
of
graves
in
Egypt.
12
We
told
you
this
would
happen!
In
Egypt
we
said,
'Please
don't
bother
us.
Let
us
stay
and
serve
the
Egyptians.'
It
would
have
been
better
for
us
to
stay
and
be
slaves
than
to
come
out
here
and
die
in
the
desert."
13
But
Moses
answered,
"Don't
be
afraid!
Don't
run
away!
Stand
where
you
are
and
watch
the
Lord
save
you
today.
You
will
never
see
these
Egyptians
again.
14
You
will
not
have
to
do
anything
but
stay
calm.
The
Lord
will
do
the
fighting
for
you."
15
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
"Why
are
you
still
crying
to
me?
Tell
the
Israelites
to
start
moving.
16
Raise
the
walking
stick
in
your
hand
over
the
Red
Sea,
and
the
sea
will
split.
Then
the
people
can
go
across
on
dry
land.
17
I
have
made
the
Egyptians
brave,
so
they
will
chase
you.
But
I
will
show
you
that
I
am
more
powerful
than
Pharaoh
and
all
of
his
horses
and
chariots.
18
Then
Egypt
will
know
that
I
am
the
Lord.
They
will
honor
me
when
I
defeat
Pharaoh
and
his
horse
soldiers
and
chariots."
19
Then
the
angel
of
God
moved
to
the
back
of
the
people.
(The
angel
was
usually
in
front
of
the
people,
leading
them.)
So
the
tall
cloud
moved
from
in
front
of
the
people
and
went
to
the
back
of
the
people.
20
In
this
way
the
cloud
stood
between
the
Egyptians
and
the
Israelites.
There
was
light
for
the
Israelites.
But
there
was
darkness
for
the
Egyptians.
So
the
Egyptians
did
not
come
any
closer
to
the
Israelites
that
night.
21
Moses
raised
his
hand
over
the
Red
Sea,
and
the
Lord
caused
a
strong
wind
to
blow
from
the
east.
The
wind
blew
all
night
long.
The
sea
split,
and
the
wind
made
the
ground
dry.
22
The
Israelites
went
through
the
sea
on
dry
land.
The
water
was
like
a
wall
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
23
Then
all
of
Pharaoh's
chariots
and
horse
soldiers
followed
them
into
the
sea.
24
Early
that
morning
the
Lord
looked
down
from
the
tall
cloud
and
column
of
fire
at
the
Egyptian
army.
Then
he
made
them
panic.
25
The
wheels
of
the
chariots
became
stuck.
It
was
very
hard
to
control
the
chariots.
The
Egyptians
shouted,
"Let's
get
out
of
here!
The
Lord
is
fighting
against
us.
He
is
fighting
for
the
Israelites."
26
Then
the
Lord
told
Moses,
"Raise
your
hand
over
the
sea
to
make
the
water
fall
and
cover
the
Egyptian
chariots
and
horse
soldiers."
27
So
just
before
daylight,
Moses
raised
his
hand
over
the
sea.
And
the
water
rushed
back
to
its
proper
level.
The
Egyptians
were
running
as
fast
as
they
could
from
the
water,
but
the
Lord
swept
them
away
with
the
sea.
28
The
water
returned
to
its
normal
level
and
covered
the
chariots
and
horse
soldiers.
Pharaoh's
army
had
been
chasing
the
Israelites,
but
that
army
was
destroyed.
None
of
them
survived!
29
But
the
Israelites
crossed
the
sea
on
dry
land.
The
water
was
like
a
wall
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
30
So
that
day
the
Lord
saved
the
Israelites
from
the
Egyptians.
Later,
the
Israelites
saw
the
dead
bodies
of
the
Egyptians
on
the
shore
of
the
Red
Sea.
31
The
Israelites
saw
the
great
power
of
the
Lord
when
he
defeated
the
Egyptians.
So
the
people
feared
and
respected
the
Lord,
and
they
began
to
trust
him
and
his
servant
Moses.
Isaiah 37:6
6
he
said
to
them,
"Give
this
message
to
your
master,
Hezekiah:
The
Lord
says,
'Don't
be
afraid
of
what
you
heard
from
the
commanders!
Don't
believe
what
those
"boys"
from
the
king
of
Assyria
said
to
make
fun
of
me.

And
the
Lord
spoke
to
Moses,
saying,
2
Speak
to
the
children
of
Israel,
and
let
them
turn
and
encamp
before
the
village,
between
Magdol
and
the
sea,
opposite
Beel-sepphon:
before
them
shalt
thou

the

3
And
Pharao
will
say
to
his
people,
As
for
these
children
of
Israel,
they
are
wandering
in
the
land,
for
the
wilderness
has
shut
them
in.
4
And
I
will
harden
the
heart
of
Pharao,

them;

I

glorified
in
Pharao,

in
all
his

and
all
the

that
I

the

And
they
did
so.
5
And
it
was
reported
to
the
king
of
the
Egyptians
that
the
people
had
fled:
and
the
heart
of
Pharao
was
turned,
and
that
of
his
servants
against
the
people;
and
they
said,
What
is
this
that
we
have
done,
to
let
the
children
of
Israel
go,
so
that
they
should
not
serve
us?
6
So
Pharao
yoked
his
chariots,
and
led
off
all
his
people
with
himself:
7
having
also
taken
six
hundred
chosen
chariots,
and
all
the
cavalry
of
the
Egyptians,
and
rulers
over
all.
8
And
the
Lord
hardened
the
heart
of
Pharao
king
of
Egypt,
and
of
his
servants,
and
he
pursued
after
the
children
of
Israel;
and
the
children
of
Israel
went
forth
with
a
high
hand.
9
And
the
Egyptians
pursued
after
them,
and
found
them
encamped
by
the
sea;
and
all
the
cavalry
and
the
chariots
of
Pharao,
and
the
horsemen,
and
his
host
were
before
the
village,
over
against
Beel-sepphon.
10
And
Pharao
approached,
and
the
children
of
Israel
having
Gr.

etc.,
with
their
eyes
looked
up,
beheld,
and
the
Egyptians
encamped
behind
them:
and
they
were
very
greatly
terrified,
and
the
children
of
Israel
cried
to
the
Lord;
11
and
said
to
Moses,
Because
there
were
no
graves
in
the
land
of
Egypt,
hast
thou
brought
us
forth
to
slay
us
in
the
wilderness?
What
is
this
that
thou
hast
done
to
us,
having
brought
us
out
of
Egypt?
12
Is
not
this
the
word
which
we
spoke
to
thee
in
Egypt,
saying,
Let
us

that
we
may

the
Egyptians?
for
it
is
better
for
us
to
serve
the
Egyptians
than
to
die
in
this
wilderness.
13
And
Moses
said
to
the
people,
Be
of
good
courage:
stand
and
see
the
salvation
which
is
from
the
Lord,
which
he
will
work
for
us
this
day;
for
as
ye
have
seen
the
Egyptians
to-day,
ye
shall
see
them
again
no
more
for
ever.
14
The
Lord
shall
fight
for
you,
and
ye
shall
hold
your
peace.
15
and
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
Why
criest
thou
to
me?
speak
to
the
children
of
Israel,
and

them

And
lo!
I
will

the

and
his

18
And
all
the
Egyptians
shall

that
I

the

when
I
am

upon
Pharao

upon

19
And
the
angel
of
God
that
went
before
the
camp
of
the
children

Israel
removed
and
went
behind,
and
the
pillar

the
cloud
also
removed
from
before
them
and
stood
behind
them.
20
And
it
went
between
the
camp
of
the
Egyptians
and
the
camp
of
Israel,
and
stood;
and
there
was
darkness
and
blackness;
and
the
night
passed,
and
they
came
not
near
to
one
another
during
the
whole
night.
21
And
Moses
stretched
forth
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
the
Lord
carried
back
the
sea
with
a
strong
south
wind
all
the
night,
and
made
the
sea
dry,
and
the
water
was
divided.
22
And
the
children
of
Israel
went
into
the
midst
of
the
sea
on
the
dry
land,
and
the
water
of
it
was
a
wall
on
the
right
hand
and
a
wall
on
the
left.
23
And
the
Egyptians
pursued
them
and
went
in
after
them,
and
every
horse
of
Pharao,
and
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen,
into
the
midst
of
the
sea.
24
And
it
came
to
pass
in
the
morning
watch
that
the
Lord
looked
forth
on
the
camp
of
the
Egyptians
through
the
pillar
of
fire
and
cloud,
and
troubled
the
camp
of
the
Egyptians,
25
and
bound
the
axle-trees
of
their
chariots,
and
caused
them
to
go
with
difficulty;
and
the
Egyptians
said,
Let
us
flee
from
the
face
of
Israel,
for
the
Lord
fights
for
them
against
the
Egyptians.
26
And
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
Stretch
forth
tine
hand
over
the
sea,
and
let
the
water
be
turned
back
to
its
place,
and
let
it
cover
the
Egyptians
coming
both
upon
the
chariots
and
the
riders.
27
And
Moses
stretched
forth
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
the
water
returned
to
its
place
toward
day;
and
the
Egyptians
fled
Lit.
under
from
the
water,
and
the
Lord
shook
off
the
Egyptians
in
the
midst
of
the
sea.
28
and
the
water
returned
and
covered
the
chariots
and
the
riders,
and
all
the
forces
of
Pharao,
who
entered
after
them
into
the
sea:
and
there
was
not
left
of
them
even
one.
29
But
the
children
of
Israel
went
along
dry
land
in
the
midst
of
the
sea,
and
the
water
was
to
them
a
wall
on
the
right
hand,
and
a
wall
on
the
left.
30
So
the
Lord
delivered
Israel
in
that
day
from
the
hand
of
the
Egyptians,
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
by
the
shore
of
the
sea.
31
And
Israel
saw
the
mighty
hand,
the
things
which
the
Lord
did
to
the
Egyptians;
and
the
people
feared
the
Lord,
and
they
believed
God
and
Moses
his
servant.

of

have
reproached
me,

5
When
the
king
of
Egypt
was
told
that
the
people
had
left,
Pharaoh
and
his
servants
changed
their
minds
about
the

They
said,
"What

We

6
So
he

saw
the
Egyptians

And
they
were
filled
with
fear
and
cried
out
to
the
Lord.
11
Then
they
said
to
Moses,
"Is
it
because
there
were
no

in
Egypt
that
you
have
taken
us

to
die
in
the

where
no

What

12
Did
we

you
in
Egypt,
'Leave

It
would
have
been
better

than

13
But
Moses
said
to
the
people,
"Do
not
be

Be
strong,
and
see
how
the
Lord
will
save
you

you
will
never
see
again.
14
The
Lord
will
fight
for

All
you

is
keep

15
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
"Why

Then
the
Angel
of
God,
who
had

of
the

Israel,
moved

went

The
cloud
moved
from
the

stood
behind
them.
20
It
came

the

Egypt

There
was

yet
it

at
night.
And
the

army
did

the

night.
21
Then
Moses
put

And
the
Lord
moved
the

all
night

So
the
waters
were

22
And
the

The
waters
were
like

23
Then
the
Egyptians
followed
them.
All
Pharaoh's
horses

24
In
the
morning
hours,
the
Lord
looked
down
on
the
Egyptian
army
through
the
fire
and
cloud.
And
He
made
the
Egyptian
army
afraid.
25
He
made
the
wheels

their
war-wagons
come
off,
so
it
was
hard
for
the
wagons
to
be
moved.
So
the
Egyptians
said,
"Let
us
run
away
from
Israel.
For
the
Lord
is
fighting
for
them
against
the
Egyptians."
26
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
"Put
out
your
hand
over
the
sea.
And
the
waters
will
flow
over
the
Egyptians,
and
over
their
war-wagons
and
their
horsemen."
27
And
when
the
morning
came,
the
Egyptians
ran
into
the
wall
of
water
as
the
sea
returned
to
the
way
it
was
before.
The
Lord
destroyed
the
Egyptians
in
the
sea.
28
The
waters
returned
and
covered
the
war-wagons
and
the
horsemen
and
Pharaoh's
whole
army
that
had
gone
in
the
sea
after
them.
Not
even
one
of
them
was
left.
29
But
the

on
dry
land
through
the
sea.
The
waters
were
like
a
wall

So
the
Lord
saved
Israel
that
day
from
the
Egyptians.

Israel
saw

Egyptians
dead
beside
the

Israel

the

4
I
will
make
the
king
stubborn
again
so
he
will

I

the

This
will

the

The
Israelites
did
just
as
they
were
told.
5
When
the
king
of
Egypt
was
told
that
the
Israelites
had
left,
he
and
his
officers
changed
their
minds
about
them.
They
said,
"What
have
we
done?
We
have
let
the
Israelites
leave.
We
have
lost
our
slaves!"
6
So
the
king
prepared
his
war
chariot
and
took
his
army
with
him.
7
He
took
six
hundred
of
his
best
chariots,
together
with
all
the
other
chariots
of
Egypt,
each
with
an
officer
in
it.
8
The
Lord
made
the
king
of
Egypt
stubborn,
so
he
chased
the
Israelites,
who
were
leaving
victoriously.
9
The
Egyptians
--
with
all
the
king's
horses,
chariot
drivers,
and
army
--
chased
the
Israelites.
They
caught
up
with
them
while
they
were
camped
by
the
Red
Sea,
near
Pi
Hahiroth
and
Baal
Zephon.
10
When
the
Israelites
saw
the
king
and
his
army
coming
after
them,
they
were
very
frightened
and
cried
to
the
Lord
for
help.
11
They
said
to
Moses,
"What
have
you
done
to
us?
Why
did
you
bring
us
out
of
Egypt
to
die
in
the
desert?
There
were
plenty
of
graves
for
us
in
Egypt.
12
We
told
you
in
Egypt,
'Let
us
alone;
we
will
stay
and
serve
the
Egyptians.'
Now
we
will
die
in
the
desert."
13
But
Moses
answered,
"Don't
be
afraid!
Stand
still
and
you
will
see
the
Lord
save
you
today.
You
will
never
see
these
Egyptians
again
after
today.
14
You
only
need
to
remain
calm;
the
Lord
will
fight
for
you."
15
Then
the
Lord
said
to
Moses,
"Why
are
you
crying
out
to
me?
Command
the
Israelites
to
start
moving.
16
Raise
your
walking
stick
and
hold
it
over
the
sea
so
that
the
sea
will
split
and
the
people
can
cross
it
on
dry
land.
17
I
will
make
the
Egyptians
stubborn
so
they
will
chase
the
Israelites,
but
I
will
be
honored
when
I
defeat
the
king
and
all
of
his
chariot
drivers
and
chariots.
18
When
I
defeat
the
king,
his
chariot
drivers,
and
chariots,
the
Egyptians
will
know
that
I
am
the
Lord."
19
Now
the
angel
of
God
that
usually
traveled
in
front
of
Israel's
army
moved
behind
them.
Also,
the
pillar
of
cloud
moved
from
in
front
of
the
people
and
stood
behind
them.
20
So
the
cloud
came
between
the
Egyptians
and
the
Israelites.
This
made
it
dark
for
the
Egyptians
but
gave
light
to
the
Israelites.
So
the
cloud
kept
the
two
armies
apart
all
night.
21
Then
Moses
held
his
hand
over
the
sea.
All
that
night
the
Lord
drove
back
the
sea
with
a
strong
east
wind,
making
the
sea
become
dry
ground.
The
water
was
split,
22
and
the
Israelites
went
through
the
sea
on
dry
land,
with
a
wall
of
water
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
23
Then
all
the
king's
horses,
chariots,
and
chariot
drivers
followed
them
into
the
sea.
24
When
morning
came,
the
Lord
looked
down
from
the
pillar
of
cloud
and
fire
at
the
Egyptian
army
and
made
them
panic.
25
He
kept
the
wheels
of
the
chariots
from
turning,
making
it
hard
to
drive
the
chariots.
The
Egyptians
shouted,
"Let's
get
away
from
the
Israelites!
The
Lord
is
fighting
for
them
and
against
Egypt."
26
Then
the
Lord
told
Moses,
"Hold
your
hand
over
the
sea
so
that
the
water
will
come
back
over
the
Egyptians,
their
chariots,
and
chariot
drivers."
27
So
Moses
raised
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
at
dawn
the
sea
returned
to
its
place.
The
Egyptians
tried
to
run
from
it,
but
the
Lord
swept
them
away
into
the
sea.
28
The
water
returned,
covering
the
chariots,
chariot
drivers,
and
all
the
king's
army
that
had
followed
the
Israelites
into
the
sea.
Not
one
of
them
survived.
29
But
the
Israelites
crossed
the
sea
on
dry
land,
with
a
wall
of
water
on
their
right
and
on
their
left.
30
So
that
day
the
Lord
saved
the
Israelites
from
the
Egyptians,
and
the
Israelites
saw
the
Egyptians
lying
dead
on
the
seashore.
31
When
the
Israelites
saw
the
great
power
the
Lord
had
used
against
the
Egyptians,
they
feared

and
they
trusted
him
and
his

provide
for
you
today;
for
the
Egyptians
you
see
today,
you
will
never
see
again.
14
The
LORD
will
fight
for
you;
you
must
be
quiet."
15
The
LORD
said
to
Moses,
"Why
are
you
crying
out
to
Me?
Tell
the
Israelites
to
break
camp.
16
As
for
you,
lift
up
your
staff,
stretch
out
your
hand
over
the
sea,
and
divide
it
so
that
the
Israelites
can
go
through
the
sea
on
dry
ground.
17
I
am
going
to
harden
the
hearts
of
the
Egyptians
so
that
they
will
go
in
after
them,
and
I
will
receive
glory
by
means
of
Pharaoh,
all
his
army,
and
his
chariots
and
horsemen.
18
The
Egyptians
will
know
that
I
am
the
LORD
when
I
receive
glory
through
Pharaoh,
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen."
19
Then
the
Angel
of
God,
who
was
going
in
front
of
the
Israelite
forces,
moved
and
went
behind
them.
The
pillar
of
cloud
moved
from
in
front
of
them
and
stood
behind
them.
20
It
came
between
the
Egyptian
and
Israelite
forces.
The
cloud
was
there
in
the
darkness,
yet
it
lit
up
the
night.
So
neither
group
came
near
the
other
all
night
long.
21
Then
Moses
stretched
out
his
hand
over
the
sea.
The
LORD
drove
the
sea
back
with
a
powerful
east
wind
all
that
night
and
turned
the
sea
into
dry
land.
So
the
waters
were
divided,
22
and
the
Israelites
went
through
the
sea
on
dry
ground,
with
the
waters
like
a
wall
to
them
on
their
right
and
their
left.
23
The
Egyptians
set
out
in
pursuit--
all
Pharaoh's
horses,
his
chariots,
and
his
horsemen--
and
went
into
the
sea
after
them.
24
Then
during
the
morning
watch,
the
LORD
looked
down
on
the
Egyptian
forces
from
the
pillar
of
fire
and
cloud,
and
threw
them
into
confusion.
25
He
caused
their
chariot
wheels
to
swerve
and
made
them
drive
with
difficulty.
"Let's
get
away
from
Israel,"
the
Egyptians
said,
"because
the
LORD
is
fighting
for
them
against
Egypt!"
26
Then
the
LORD
said
to
Moses,
"Stretch
out
your
hand
over
the
sea
so
that
the
waters
may
come
back
on
the
Egyptians,
on
their
chariots
and
horsemen."
27
So
Moses
stretched
out
his
hand
over
the
sea,
and
at
daybreak
the
sea
returned
to
its
normal
depth.
While
the
Egyptians
were
trying
to
escape
from
it,
the
LORD
overthrew
them
in
the
sea.
28
The
waters
came
back
and
covered
the
chariots
and
horsemen,
the
entire
army
of
Pharaoh,
that
had
gone
after
them
into
the
sea.
None
of
them
survived.
29
But
the
Israelites
had
walked
through
the
sea
on
dry
ground,
with
the
waters
like
a
wall
to
them
on
their
right
and
their
left.
30
That
day
the
LORD
saved
Israel
from
the
power
of
the
Egyptians,
and
Israel
saw
the
Egyptians
dead
on
the
seashore.
31
When
Israel
saw
the
great
power
that
the
LORD
used
against
the
Egyptians,
the
people
feared
the
LORD
and
believed
in
Him
and
in
His
servant
Moses.
Isaiah 37:6
6
Isaiah
said
to
them,
"Say
this
to
your
master,
'The
LORD
says:
Don't
be
afraid
because
of
the
words
you
have
heard,
which
the
king
of
Assyria's
attendants
have
blasphemed
Me
with.
