raised
up
judges
to
them,
then
Jehovah
was
with
the
judge,
and
rescued
them
out
of
the
hand
of
their
enemies
all
the
days
of
the
judge.

Jehovah
took
pity
because
of
their
groaning
before
their
oppressors,
and
those
that
crushed
them.

And
at
the
death
of
the
judge,
it
happened
that
they
would
turn
and
act
more
corruptly
than
their
fathers,
to
go
after
other
gods,
to
serve
them,
and
to
bow
themselves
to
them.
And
they
did
not
fall
away
from
their
own
doings,
and
from
their
stubborn
way.

And
the
anger
of
Jehovah
glowed
against
Israel.
And
He
said,
Because
this
nation
has
transgressed
My
covenant
which
I
commanded
their
fathers,
and
has
not
listened
to
My
voice,

I
also
from
now
on
will
not
dispossess
any
from
before
them
of
the
nations
that
Joshua
left
when
he
died;

so
that
by
them
I
may
test
Israel,
whether
they
are
keeping
the
way
of
Jehovah,
to
go
in
it,
as
their
fathers
kept
it,
or
not.

And
Jehovah
left
those
nations
without
dispossessing
them
quickly.

He

deliver
them
into

hand
of

people

the
Angel

LORD

spoken

words

people
wept
loudly.

So
they
named
that
place
Bochim
and
offered
sacrifices
there
to
the
LORD.

Joshua
sent

people
away,
and

Israelites
went
to
take
possession
of
the
land,

to
his
own
inheritance.

The
people
worshiped

LORD
throughout
Joshua's
lifetime
and
during
the
lifetimes
of

elders

outlived
Joshua.
They
had

He
had
done

Joshua

marauders

He
sold
them

the
enemies

them,

no
longer
resist
their
enemies.

Whenever
the
Israelites
went
out,
the
LORD
was
against
them
and
brought
disaster
on
them,
just
as
He
had
promised
and
sworn
to
them.
So
they
suffered
greatly.

The
LORD
raised
up
judges,
who
saved
them
from
the
power
of
their
marauders,

but
they
did
not
listen
to
their
judges.
Instead,
they
prostituted
themselves
with
other
gods,
bowing
down
to
them.
They
quickly
turned
from
the
way
of
their
fathers,
who
had
walked
in
obedience
to
the
LORD's
commands.
They
did
not
do
as
their
fathers
did.

Whenever
the
LORD
raised
up
a
judge
for
the
Israelites,
the
LORD
was
with
him
and
saved
the
people
from
the
power
of
their
enemies
while
the
judge
was
still
alive.
The
LORD
was
moved
to
pity
whenever
they

of
those
who
were

and
afflicting
them.

Whenever
the
judge
died,
the
Israelites
would
act
even

their
fathers,
going
after

gods

worship

They

their
obstinate

Lord's
anger

Israel,

He
declared,

violated
My
covenant

disobeyed
Me,

longer
drive
out
before
them

of
the
nations
Joshua
left

he

I
did
this

test
Israel

they

LORD's
way
by
walking
in
it,
as
their
fathers

left

nations
and

not
drive
them
out
immediately.
He

not
